The events following the Greensburg Tornado in May, 2007 left a huge impression on the littlest members of the Scott Lang family. Family friend, Karie Sue Hertel, and her three children Lucas, age 10, Jagger, age 6, and Breckyn, age 5, witnessed the tornado first hand. As Scott and Shandi helped them in the aftermath, the Lang children heard many harrowing tales of sights seen. Grace and Tuck, then age 5, and Elijah, age 2, had many questions and thoughts regarding the F5 tornado. In discussing the tornado and the children's fears, Shandi realized there were no solid answers to give them.
"Could it happen here?" "Why?" "How come it came at night?" The only way to answer these tough questions was for Shandi to rely on her faith in God.
Shandi Lang and her 5 year old daughter, Grace, team up to author and illustrate their first children's book. Join them as they show us where God was during the F5 Tornado.
